Description:

Responsible for the Road Maintenance, Right of Way Maintenance, and Drainage Maintenance functions of the Public Works Department. Supervises field supervisors and inspection personnel. Coordinates weekly work schedules, material requisitions, equipment requirements, and personnel changes within these areas.

Requirements:

Minimum of a two year degree in construction management, business administration or related field. Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in public works maintenance and operations with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity. Ability to practice and enforce safe principles and methods in managing maintenance and construction work and activities. Skills in scheduling maintenance, equipment and construction crews. Ability to utilize Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and various other software programs. Knowledge and experience utilizing asset management software. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record as defined by current insurance carrier.

Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment, certification in NIMS/Incident Command Courses IS100PWb, IS200, and IS700.
