The Environmental Program Inspector is a technical engineering position within the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. The work involves detailed plan review and inspections for compliance with Town of Parker Storm Drainage and Environmental Criteria with emphasis on stormwater quality management. The position focuses on erosion and sedimentation control inspections on construction sites, permanent stormwater quality facility inspections, and illicit discharge detection and elimination. An employee in this position must demonstrate specialized technical knowledge in specific areas and exercise judgment within established organizational values, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree from a two (2) year college or technical school and a minimum of two (2) years of stormwater related experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Municipal experience preferred. Erosion control certifications or classes are desirable. A valid Colorado Driver’s License and a good driving history or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire is required. Must have had a driver’s license for a minimum of two (2) years. Current NIMS/ICS training through IS 100 and IS 200 or the ability to obtain upon hire.
