The Coachella Valley includes the desert cities of La Quinta, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Desert Hot Springs, Indio and Coachella. It is one of the fastest growing regions in Southern California and offers an ideal place to work, play and raise a family. The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) is unique in that it provides six water-related services: domestic water, sanitation (wastewater), recycled water, irrigation water & drainage, groundwater recharge and stormwater protection. CVWD has a deep history that dates back to 1915 and was one of the original signatories to the Party of Seven Agreement of 1931 which divided California’s share of the Colorado River. The CVWD Sanitation Engineering division has a $66 million Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Year 2013-14.

The Associate Civil Engineer - Sanitation would work within CVWD’s Engineering Department located at CVWD’s Palm Desert facility and report to the Senior Sanitation Engineer. He/She is expected to perform complex professional engineering work related to the design and construction of CVWD sanitation (wastewater) facilities, including water reclamation plant expansions, lift stations, and pump stations.

Requires a bachelor’s of science degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university; and 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible wastewater engineering experience. Registration as a California Civil Engineer also required.

Please apply on-line as soon as possible at www.allianceRC.com. Candidate review will begin on February 14, 2014. For questions or inquiries please contact Sherrill Uyeda or Cindy Krebs at (562) 901-0769 or info@allianceRC.com. EEO/ADA
