Manages and oversees the City’s Stormwater Permit compliance processes and procedures. Responsibilities include supervision of stormwater compliance staff and stormwater educator. Applicant must have:
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local rules related to stormwater quality and MS4 permits;
• Knowledge of inspection and compliance procedures and appropriate best management practices for construction and industrial sites;
• Ability to manage the City’s water quality screening programs and household hazardous waste collection program; and
• Ability to develop, implement, and maintain municipal good housekeeping program.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology or Pre-Engineering or work experience equivalent plus five years stormwater experience which includes one year of supervisory or lead experience. Must have Texas Driver's License Class C and have the ability to obtain an OSHA Hazardous Materials Safety Training certification within six months of employment. Pre-employment testing includes: Criminal Background, Drug/Alcohol, Physical and Motor Vehicle Check. Salary range is $5,159/mo.-$6,449/mo.
