The City of Moorhead, population 38,065 and growing, is accepting applications for an Operations Director to serve as an integral member of the City's Executive Leadership Team. The position performs complex professional work planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and supervising the Operations Department and its divisions, including: Streets, Sanitation, Park & Golf Course Maintenance, Forestry, and Fleet Management. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the City Manager. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel, including approximately 57 full-time and 113 part-time staff. The ideal candidate will be a strong, collaborative leader who will establish goals for the department to ensure high-quality, innovative, and effective programming at the most faborable cost to the public.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with coursework in engineering, public administration, planning, or business administration or related field and extensive experience in public works, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements: Valid driver's license; Minnesota Class C Boilers License required within one year of hire.

Salary: $78,567.45 to $120,218.75
