About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Public Operations, this position is responsible for the daily operations of the Roads Maintenance Department.


Assist the Director, Public Operations with overall program service delivery. Manage through direct involvement in daily operations, budgeting, and strategic planning of the overall design and deployment of all department initiatives.


Take a lead role in developing and implementing innovative and practical approaches to department initiatives to ensure all employees are working proficiently and effectively in a productive environment.


Qualifications:
Ten (10) or more year’s progressive experience working in the field of roads maintenance with a minimum of five (5) years experience as a leader.


Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the area of road maintenance and repair, basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and applicable by-laws and procedures.


Experience working in a public sector environment with unionized and non-unionized employees is considered an asset.
