THE POSITION The Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the positions (2) of Streets Maintenance Supervisor in the Streets Department. The normal work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A flex schedule may be available. DEFINITION To plan, organize, direct and supervise street maintenance, street repair, and related street construction operations within the Public Works Department; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in streets maintenance work, including one year of lead responsibility. Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in construction technology and college course work in road maintenance and traffic engineering. License or Certificate · Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. · Possession of an I.M.S.A. Traffic Control Certificate. · Possession of a Level I Signs/Markings Certificate.
