COLLECTIONS SYSTEM MANAGER
The City of Topeka is seeking qualified applicants for a public works career-oriented WPC Collections System Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Collections Operations Section.
Primary responsibilities are to assist the general manager with developing and implementing division goals and objectives, and developing, implementing and administering the division budget. Directs the work of the unit managers and supervisors, develops and implements short- and long-range goals and improvements to manage the stormwater and wastewater collection systems and ensures the flood protection facilities and assigned personnel are in a state of readiness.
Minimum qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, preferred education includes graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in industrial management, public administration, civil engineering or closely related field. Must have five (5) years of related experience related to the processes used in wastewater and stormwater collection system operations with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and city insurable driving record, must obtain Kansas driver’s license within six months of hire date. Must possess a Collections System Class IV license within one year of employment.
Entry salary range: $53,856 - $67,343 DOQ.
