Adams County is seeking an Operations Manager-Transportation to manage the day-to-day operations directing, supervising and coordinating the repair, maintenance and construction activities of the Transportation Operations division. The individual in this position plans and coordinates activities with internal and external customers and makes recommendations to the Transportation Director on street and bridge repair and maintenance of our existing infrastructure. This person will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of our transportation infrastructure in the County. This position reports directly to the Transportation Director.

To be considered for the position, you must have at least High school diploma or GED equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree of construction technology, civil engineering or a related field is a preferred qualification for this position. In addition, applicants must have at least eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of bridges, roads and drainageways. The successful candidate must also have at least five (5) years of supervisory experience.
