SEASONAL ROAD MAINTENANCE WORKER I - ELIGIBILITY REGISTER
THIS JOB POSTING IS TO CREATE AN ELIGIBILITY REGISTER TO FILL 2014 SEASONAL POSITIONS. THIS REGISTER IS VALID UNTIL OCTOBER 31, 2014

Seasonal positions will be filled based on operational needs and funding resources of the Road Maintenance Division.

The Road Maintenance Division will utilize the Eligibility Register when hiring Seasonal Road Maintenance Workers for the 2014 summer season. The start dates for these groups could be:

April 7, 2014

May 1, 2014

May 19, 2014

June 16, 2014

To perform a variety of unskilled manual labor tasks in support of road maintenance and repair operations.

HOW TO APPLY: Complete an on-line application including the supplemental questions. It is the applicant's responsibility to verify that information provided is accurate and submitted by the closing date. Snohomish County WILL NOT modify or change any answers submitted by an applicant.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

On-line application, supplemental and current 2014 driving record are to be submitted by the close date. Only a Complete Record will be accepted.

Under the "Special Requirements" section are the serious traffic violations that will disqualify you from moving forward in the hiring process;

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants will be screened for minimum qualifications;

Supplemental scoring: must pass to qualify for interview;

Interview: Applicants who qualify for an interview will be notified by email with instructions on how to self-schedule an interview;

Physical Capacities Evaluation: Applicants will be required to take and pass a Physical Capacities Evaluation which will include a drug screening, medical examination and Physical Evaluation Fitness Test (PEFT) to be performed by a qualified healthcare professional selected by Snohomish County. You will be notified by email with instructions on how to self-schedule an PEFT;

Criminal Background Check: Applicants will be subject to a criminal background check before a job offer is made;

Flagger Certification training will be offered to applicants who don't have a current valid Flagger Certification card. You will be notified by email to attend this free training. This training is unpaid time.

Job offer will be conditioned on satisfactory results of a current and valid three year complete driver's abstract from Washington State Department of Licensing; and satisfactory results of a a post-offer drug screen test, a medical examination, and a Physical Capacities Evaluation performed by a qualified healthcare professional selected by Snohomish County. Applicants are subject to a criminal background check as part of the hiring process.

Washington State Driver's License;

You will be required to complete and sign Background Check Release Forms

First Aid Card;

Washington State Traffic Control Flagger card
