Snohomish County Public Works is seeking highly motivated and well-qualified candidates for a Contract Specialist. The Contract Specialist provides key support in coordination, monitoring, tracking, billing and administration of the department’s Interlocal/Interagency/consultant program. The Contract Specialist will be part of a dynamic team responsible for development, monitoring, oversight and compliance for the Public Works consultant and interlocal agreement program, totaling $25 million annually.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in developing, preparing, negotiating, and managing Public Works consultant and interlocal agreements ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements; effective communication skills with county and outside agency project managers; reviewing and researching invoices for accuracy and regulatory compliance; and strong ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field and three (3) years of work experience involving contract administration; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Must pass job related tests.
