The City of Berkeley is currently seeking applications from highly qualified individuals for Senior Building Maintenance Supervisor. This classification is located in the Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department, and in the Public Works Department.

Under general direction, this classification plans, schedules and directs the facilities maintenance and janitorial services programs; directs, through subordinate supervisors, the work of maintenance crews assigned to the section; and performs related work as assigned.

The Senior Building Maintenance Supervisor directs and manages the activities of the facilities/building maintenance and janitorial services sections of the Facilities Maintenance Division in the Public Works Department. This division maintains 900,000 square feet of public service facilities including fire stations, senior centers, public garages, and multi-storied office buildings. Within the Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department, this class is responsible for maintenance supervision of public service areas including play areas/fields, irrigation systems, marina infrastructure, pools, buildings, and ground surfaces within the City.

The current vacancy is a full-time position located in the Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department.
