Seeking a dedicated, self-directed leader to assist with the activities and operations relating to public utility initiatives. This a division manager position designed to receive on-the-job training to learn the duties and responsibilities of the Public Utilities Manager. Primary duties include assisting with development and implementation of best practices of water and wastewater systems, establishing goals and procedures; evaluating and prioritizing projects; assigning tasks and monitoring the performance of subordinates; providing training; developing and monitoring of an assigned budget; forecasting needs; approving expenditures; maintaining records; and preparing operational and financial reports.

Requires knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of a comprehensive water and wastewater utility system management program; principles of revenue requirements and rate analysis for water and wastewater enterprises; and strong oral and written communication skills.

Requires three years of increasingly responsible experience in water and/or wastewater system operations/design with mechanical water and wastewater treatment plant experience preferred; minimum of two years of experience as a supervisor. A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a closely related field required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid license as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wyoming.
