Hennepin County is seeking a seasoned leader with solid business and accounting experience to manage the business, finance and operations for the county’s fleet of over 1,200 units with an annual budget of $14 million. This is an internal service that is fully sustained through fees it charges for the services that is provided to other county departments. The fleet includes cars, light and heavy-duty trucks, emergency vehicles, off road equipment, boats, snowmobiles, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Best Qualified Candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, accounting, or other related field plus at least five (5) years of experience in the planning and administration of organizational operations or programs
- Five (5) years of more of experience in vehicle, or other asset management such as buildings, real property, computers, and/or inventory; at least three (3) year of supervisory experience in asset management
- Experience in:
- Fleet management
- Financial management and analysis
- Strategic planning
