Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Facilities Maintenance Director will assist the Public Works Director in supervising division personnel overseeing property management, maintenance, and repair of City owned facilities. The ideal candidate must be able to think strategically and exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment. The ideal candidate must also possess strong analytical skills, be a strong manager, collaborative, and a team player. A broad knowledge of standard practices, methods, terminology, tools and materials involved in the management, maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment is required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, business administration, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. A minimum of six (6) years of responsible and relevant experience, to include experience in a supervisory level, is required.
Salary and benefits package includes: The annual salary range is $69,284.80 to $95,139.20. Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications. Medical, dental and life insurance, leave allowances, retirement plan and more.
