New APWA staff
Kathryn Dotson joined the APWA staff as Project Manager, Adult Learning in March. She takes over responsibilities for the Public Works Institute Initiative and advanced training in Construction Inspection for both the web-based training and workshop programs. She will also develop several of the upcoming Click, Listen & Learn webcasts.
Kathryn has an MS in Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University and a BA in Journalism from North Texas State University. Prior to her arrival at APWA, she was the Custom Framing Training Manager for Michaels Arts and Crafts, Inc., developing written and computer-based training materials for the retail chain. Her team trained all new and existing store associates using facilitated seminars and training programs for over 1,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada. She managed seven field trainers and the certification testing process for the company. She was awarded a Telly in 2002 for her writing for a video production.
