Michael Long has joined the Education Department as Project Manager of Adult Learning Programs.
Over the last year, Michael, sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, interned with the Minority Supplier Council of Kansas City where he took part in developing a new vision, mission, strategic plan, and business plan and executed marketing and development project work. Beyond MSC, Michael worked for five years for Peterson Mfg. in Grandview, Missouri in its Quality Assurance Photometric, Metrology, and Environmental Testing Laboratories developing new products and evaluating the existing product line.
In December 2001, Michael will complete a Master's of Public Administration degree with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Michael resides in Overland Park, Kansas.
Brandy Reynolds has recently joined the staff at APWA as the Chapter Financial Analyst/Registrar. She acts as the liaison between APWA National and the chapters in monitoring and reviewing the chapters' financial reporting. She handles rebates sent to different chapters as an incentive for reporting on a timely basis. In addition, she registers members for different meetings and workshops that APWA holds, and sends invoices and follow-up collections if necessary.
Before coming on board with APWA, Brandy worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in the Member Service Dept. where she was an enrollment specialist. Her job duties included entering new members' medical insurance, making changes to existing member insurance, and performing quality assurance checks on applications for insurance that were already put into the system.
Brandy is currently enrolled at Park University where she is working on her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management/Finance.
