The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) is an international trade association located in Fredericksburg, VA. Since 1969, ATSSA has represented companies and individuals in the traffic control and roadway safety industry. Over 1,600 ATSSA members provide the majority of roadway safety features, services and materials used on our nation's roadways. These include guardrails, striping, signage, lighting, drums, cones and barricades. ATSSA members also have a heavy emphasis in roadway work zone safety and training.

Visitors to this site can download a Guide Book of Best Management Practices for work zone traffic management; Fact Sheets outlining exceptional work zone safety and information programs; and software to analyze the impact of alternative work zone management techniques.

The site includes information on crash data; current practices and applications; laws related to work zones; outreach and public education materials; research and development; construction standards and specifications related to work zone safety; technology and equipment; training courses and certification programs.
