The Small Cities/Rural Communities Committee was developed to help communities with a population of less than 75,000 discuss problems unique to their population size and/or geographic location.  Smaller and rural communities frequently face different obstacles than larger communities and this Committee provides an on-going opportunity for members to voice concerns and share problems and best practices.

Every year, the Committee provides education sessions at the APWA Congress and Exposition; monthly articles in the APWA Reporter; conducts monthly conference calls; schedules four free on-line calls on topics of major interest to APWA members from these areas, and hosts a Town Hall Meeting and Continental Breakfast during Congress
