Modifying Operations and Facilities to Accommodate AFVs in Public Works Fleets.

 This session will address implementing alt fuel vehicles (AFVs) in public works fleets including evaluation of AFV availability and applicability, fuel station development and O&M options, maintenance facility modification requirements, and potential adjustments to operational practices.

·         How to compare AFV’s performance and economics to traditional gasoline and diesel vehicles

·         Biodiesel, ethanol, CNG, LNG and propane fuel properties; procurement, storage and handling

·         EV charging station design, operation and economics

·         Vehicle maintenance facility code compliance and potential modifications to accommodate gaseous fuels (CNG, LNG, propane)
