One-Call Systems International (OCSI) Subcommittee
One-Call Systems International (OCSI) is recognized as a leader in facility damage prevention that understands the dynamics and interdependence among public works, facility owners, regulatory/compliance agencies, and professional excavators. Since it's inception in the mid-70s, OCSI has assisted One-Call centers, facility owners and damage prevention professionals in their quest for enhancing the call center policies and, therefore, helping to protect the nation’s infrastructure.
It is a pleasure to announce that OCSI will join the Common Ground Alliance (CGA) in line with their commitment to build a better and stronger organization. We are still very committed to our call centers and all that have help propelled OCSI to our current position. We have a long and proud history as members of OCSI; and our accomplishments have elevated the damage prevention effort to its' current status. Before One-Call there was no "Call before you Dig" or "Dig Safely". We cannot take full credit for the success of these programs and endeavors but make no mistake we have been part of the solution from the very beginning. The total number of persons employed by call centers worldwide is in the thousands. The total number of facility owners, contractors, homeowners, engineers, and locators and all supported is in the millions. Our future will focus on efforts that support the call center. We also need to continue to support the strategic alliances that are currently in place. These entities include;

OCSI thanks the American Public Works Association (APWA) for the continued support received throughout the years. We have enjoyed our relationship and are very appreciative of your efforts over the past two decades. We look forward to future involvement within the technical/educational structure of the organization.
We welcome the challenges our new organization and look forward to a safer America because of our efforts and those of all stakeholder groups. The best is yet to come.
